About Us

The St. George’s Heritage Committee has big plans! This community led not for profit is embracing this fabulous venue and they are keen to repurpose this grand old dame of a structure and embrace the magnificent acoustical value of the former church.  Many notable artists have performed here over the years; Ron Hynes, The Once, Shalloway and numerous Tuckamore Festival events have chosen St. George’s as a performance venue. While our applications are in the final approval process, we decided to open up St. George’s as a performance venue this summer. Stay tuned for regular updates on the line up. Our Live on the Lawn series is free, the artists are paid and donations to the facility are welcomed. The beautiful Bell Tower was restored a number of years ago and you can now Ring The Bell and spread your sweet memories throughout Brigus. A fee applies to access the Bell Tower! Inside St. George’s view the many artifacts of a time past, view the Bartlett Exhibit, play our piano, or say a few words from the pulpit! Access is free but donations are greatly appreciated. Join us this summer and celebrate this beautiful place, surrounded by hills and water, count your many blessings and feel the good vibes of this magical place we call home.
